7.1 How to make a Dealer Extended Warranty claim. To keep things simple, the claims process for the Dealer Extended Warranty follows the same process as the Norton Standard Warranty. If you think your Motorcycle has a defect covered by the Dealer Extended Warranty, you should:
- 7.1.1 contact us as soon as you become aware of the issue and arrange for them to inspect the Motorcycle; and
- 7.1.2 bring your Warranty Certificate, together with evidence of servicing as described at section 5.1.4.
- 8.1 Where can you rely on this Dealer Extended Warranty. When you travel with your Motorcycle, you can access support through the network of Authorised Norton Dealers. You can make a claim under this Dealer Extended Warranty in any location where an Authorised Norton Dealer is available.
- 8.2 Documents you will need. If you need to rely on your Dealer Extended Warranty while abroad, you will be asked to show your Warranty Certificate together with evidence of servicing as described at section 5.1.4.
- 8.3 You may need to pay and be reimbursed. In most cases, you will not need to pay for any work covered by this Dealer Extended Warranty. However, in some situations where repairs are carried out abroad, you may be asked to pay for the work upfront. If this happens, please keep a copy of the invoice (and, where possible, any replaced parts). We can then help arrange reimbursement when you return home, in line with these terms.
- 9.1 How we will repair your Motorcycle:
- 9.1.1 If you have a valid claim under this Dealer Extended Warranty, we will repair or replace the affected part using genuine Norton parts.

We may ask the new owner to provide reasonable proof of ownership and, if required, to notify us of the change in ownership.
- 12.1 We are responsible for losses you suffer caused by us breaking this contract (including if this is caused by the Authorised Norton Dealer when performing the services under
this Dealer Extended Warranty) unless the loss is:
- 12.1.1 Unexpected. If we fail to comply with the terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract, or our failing to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. - 14.1 Nobody else has any rights under this contract. This contract is between you and us (other than someone you sold the Motorcycle to, as explained in section 10). Nobody else can enforce it and neither of us will need to ask anybody else to sign-off on ending or changing it.
- 14.2 We may transfer this contract to someone else. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations under these terms.
- 14.3 If a court finds part of this contract illegal, the rest will still apply. Each part of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining sections of these terms will continue to apply.
- 14.4 Even if we delay in enforcing this contract, we can still enforce it later. We might not immediately chase you for not doing something or for doing something you're not allowed to, but that doesn’t mean we can't do it later.
- 14.5 Which laws apply to this contract. These terms are governed by English law. You will also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. Nothing in these terms, including this section affects your rights as a consumer to rely on such mandatory provisions of local law.
