SG3 / 2014 Race News
We are delighted that Australian ace Cameron Donald will be lining up in the Dainese Superbike and Pokerstars Senior TT Races for Norton. Cameron will start in the number 19 position, made famous by the late Steve Hislop who took Norton's last TT victory in the 1992 Senior Race.
The Norton race team are currently at the Isle of Man competing in the 2014 TT road races. Our factory rider Cameron Donald has currently posted a 123 mph lap time in practice. With many set up changes coming from the data and telemetry gathered we are looking to increase lap times as the bike development continues. Our last practice session is Wednesday 4th June and the blue ribband Senior race is Friday 6th June. Here's a few pics of Cam and SG3 in action...
Cameron has high ambitions, explaining, "When Norton began talking to me about their plans for TT 2014 I knew it was an opportunity I didn't want to miss. With the enthusiasm and experience of the Norton team behind me and ex TT winners such as Mick Grant and Steve Plater now involved, this is sure to be an exciting year. Norton is synonymous with the Isle of Man TT and I can't wait to ride the new SG3 round the Mountain Course and add to their Isle of Man history."
Cameron won the TT Newcomers Trophy in 2005 and wowed race fans just a year later by taking a stunning second place in the Senior TT. Second place in the inaugural Okells Brewery 350cc Classic TT in August 2013 brings his podium tally to ten. He is currently the eighth fastest rider ever to have lapped the TT course.
Over the winter Norton has also secured the services of Mick Grant and Steve Plater to test and develop the Norton SG2 TT racebike.

Mick Grant, seven-time Isle of Man TT winner has joined the Norton Factory Racing team, some 40 years after he last rode for the Norton Factory.
