UK Sales Team Leader

Norton Motorcycles is a rapidly expanding dynamic business and we are looking for an experienced Sales Administrator to run our busy UK Sales Office based at Donington Hall.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Prioritise workload whilst communicating efficiently and effectively with all Norton personnel
  • Deal with all Sales enquiries in a timely and efficient manner

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Process the warranty claims for the Global Dealer network
  • Process the flow of parts from Norton HQ to the global dealer network
  • Be the central point of contact for liaison on after sales matters from both customers and the global dealer network
  • Support the warranty claims procedure and keep accurate records
  • Co-ordinate Dealer / Distributor training held at HQ for the network
  • Checking and processing parts orders
  • Checking availability of stock to complete parts orders      
  • Liaising with the warehouse for deliveries and collections
  • Updating technical bulletins, owners manuals and other technical documents to a high standard

 

About you:

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager with a track record of delivery within manufacturing/engineering / automotive industries. You will be an enthusiastic and capable individual whose internal relationships will be as important as those with your suppliers.

The Business is currently experiencing significant growth due to the increase in demand for our new and existing range of bikes.

 

Skills Required:

  • Understanding the process of buying raw material and components, through in-house manufacture, assembly and point of sale through a global dealer network. All controlled under one roof.
  • Understanding of a complex product range with multiple manufacturing techniques and a global supply chain.
  • A proficient negotiator with proven abilities in influencing people at all levels within the organisation.
  • Experience in product costing and/or cost bill of materials and identification of product cost drivers.
  • Good understanding of legal regulations and contract setting.
  • Experienced in managing a team.

UK Dealer Manager

Norton Motorcycles (UK) have a vacancy for an UK Dealer Manager based at their headquarters at Donington Hall in Castle Donington.

Managing the UK dealer network the role will be the direct line of contact to the dealer  network. Comprehensive responsibilities will include planning of dealer network - dealer management process to include all aspects of the application, appointment or replacement of new and existing dealers.  Building a UK dealer network is essential to explore new market opportunities.

 

Knowledge and Experience

Engine Build

Purchase Ledger Clerk

Norton Motorcycles is a rapidly expanding dynamic business that is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our accounts department. Our offices are located in the fabulous surroundings of Donington Hall in Castle Donington. (10 minutes from J24 of the M1 & East Midlands Airport).

You will work alongside another full-time account’s assistant underneath the assistant accountant who reports into the Financial Controller.

The role will be predominantly purchase ledger based so a background in this area of accounts is preferable. Due to the industry and business model, the purchase ledger is significantly larger than the sales ledger and so the business requires an additional member of staff to help maintain the integrity/accuracy of this ledger.

The supply chain is global so you will be required to communicate to suppliers all over the world within the role. This also means dealing with various currencies across the purchase ledger.

The business has recently had Sage 200 implemented so Sage 200 experience is preferable but not a pre-requisite.

 

Role, duties and Responsibilities:

Working with the existing team of buyers you will form part of driving the purchasing function of this UK based global brand to ensure a robust and committed supply chain. We believe that management and development of external suppliers is paramount.

The successful person would need to be an experienced Buyer with a track record of delivery within manufacturing/engineering/automotive industries. You must be able to demonstrate a track record of cost reduction through both direct negotiation and working strategically with suppliers to find mutually beneficial cost-downs. You will be an enthusiastic and capable individual whose internal relationships will be as important as those with your suppliers.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring there are always sufficient components in stock to satisfy the demands of production
  • Optimising stock levels
  • Developing the practice of expediting purchase orders to ensure delivery promises are achieved
  • Coordinating with all other departments for smooth functioning and prioritising of purchasing departmental activity
