Stores Operative

Entering a new era, we are scaling globally and this role will give successful recruits the opportunity to be a part of that growth. This role will be based in our state-of-the-art facilities in Solihull, West Midlands, working within our tight-knit but ever-expanding team.

As such, we are looking for a time served Stores Operative to help us grow our Warehouse Operations into a first class function delivering excellent service to customers both internally and externally.

The successful candidate will be working as part of a small team and have a very varied range of daily tasks covering all aspects of warehousing and therefore must have Warehouse / Stores experience and a “can do” attitude. They will interact on a daily basis with people at all levels of the business and report directly to the Warehouse Team Leader.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Adhering to health and safety protocols

  • Receiving goods, including vehicle offload

  • Repackaging of goods as appropriate

  • Managing flow of goods Into & Out of Inspection

  • Storing goods in appropriate locations within the warehouse and transacting on warehouse systems

  • Reporting damaged or missing items upon receipt

  • Managing Warehouse stock levels – performing regular stock counts.

  • General Warehouse housekeeping i.e. ensuring the workspace is clean & Tidy

  • Pick and pack orders for Production Operations and Sales

  • Loading goods onto vehicles for shipping

  • Updating the warehouse computer system as appropriate


Qualifications and Skills

  • Forklift Licence

  • Honest & reliable

  • Good degree of physical fitness (will need to lift boxes up to 15kg)

  • Computer Literate & numerate (use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Teams)

  • Punctual with good organisational and time management skills

  • Team player, co-operative

  • Self-motivated individual, able to work on own initiative

  • Flexibility to carry out the necessary duties to complete the task efficiently and in a Timely Manner

  • Ability to communicate at all levels

  • Great Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Work Well under Pressure

It would also be useful but not essential if you have the following:

  • Experience with handheld scanners

  • Experience in Automotive Warehousing Environment
