We are looking for a Senior Electrical Test Engineer to help us grow the product range and lift the quality of the motorcycle design to new highs.
As a member of the electrical engineering team, the Senior Electrical Test Engineer will be to create, maintain and ensure test procedures for all electrical items of the motorcycle are in place. Working with the wider team to capture requirements and identify areas for improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Senior Electrical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Creating and maintaining a framework for what, when and how whole vehicle electrical tests need to be carried out.
Working with the relevant component / EDS / software engineers on the wider team to ensure any relevant procedures are created and kept up to date based on motorcycle specifications and industry best practice.
Owning and creating the whole vehicle level test procedures and ensuring these are incorporated into the generic vehicle test plan for use by the integration engineers, taking feedback on board from the wider team.
Working with the electrical technician and others to ensure testing is carried out consistently, accurately and safely.
Working with the wider teams to ensure any issues found during vehicle development are considered in updates to the test procedures.
Working with the integration engineers to ensure all testing is carried out successfully.
Creating component test specifications in conjunction with the component engineers.
Keeping up to date on any current and new legislation impacting motorcycle electrical testing.
The candidate must have experience in the following:
Automotive / motorcycle electrical testing.
Hardware / software / environmental / EMC testing requirements.
Creating test procedures.
The candidate must have an Electrical Engineering qualification, or similar combined with relevant industry experience of no less than 5 years.
