Quality Engineer - Concern Management

The Norton Motorcycle Co. Ltd is a dynamic, inspirational brand, at the forefront of British design and rapidly growing.

We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our dedicated Quality team as a Concern Management Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for personal growth, whilst being involved with one of the most exciting global motorcycle manufacturers. This role will be based out of our new facility in Solihull.

Key responsibilities:

Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Joint responsibility for the operation of the Concern Management System (CMS)

  • Be the initial point of contact for any concerns raised

  • Conduct initial investigations to establish routing / ownership

  • Monitoring, tracking and reporting of concern status and progress

  • Facilitating concern review workshops to action and progress concerns

  • Liaison with the Programme Management Team to report status in line with build targets

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in the field of structured problem solving

  • Guide & coach the business in robust problem solving methods

  • Ensure permanent corrective actions have been implemented and validated accordingly

  • Supporting with internal audits and process compliance to drive quality improvements

  • Engage with and actively support site Continuous Improvement activities as required.

  • Expert understanding of problem solving methods (A3 PPS, 8D etc), and able to coach others

  • Ability to think and act cross-functionally for the benefit of the organisation

  • Willingness to learn

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels

  • Ideally from a Quality or Continuous Improvement background

  • Experience in the Automotive industry is an advantage, as is Project Management experience.
