Production/Assembly Team Leader

Entering a new era, we are scaling globally and this role will give successful recruits the opportunity to be a part of that growth. This role will be based in our state-of-the-art facilities in Solihull, West Midlands, working within our tight-knit but ever-expanding team.

We are currently recruiting for experienced assembly operatives to fulfil our ever evolving state of the art engine and chassis lines at Norton Motorcycles.

Responsibilities and Duties:

As an Assembly Team Leader you will be required to work and guide the team so that daily production demands and targets are met. Working in accordance with Norton's scheduled build plan, you will be responsible for ensuring products are of high quality.

The ideal candidate will have experience within automotive manufacturing along with specialised automotive equipment. Mechanical comprehension is preferred however not essential.


Required Attributes:

  • Experience in leading a team.

  • A sound knowledge of manufacturing processes.

  • Good understanding of Lean manufacturing tools such as KPI’s, 5S and Kaizen.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Experience in Hand Assembly of Complex Units.

  • Conscientious and with an eye for detail.

  • Good Problem Solving ability.

  • Flexible, Hardworking and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Loyal, Committed and Trustworthy.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience within motorbike or automotive manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of engine building.

  • Interest in Motorbike with a Motorbike licence.
