Manufacturing inspector (Temp to perm role 6 month rolling contract)

The Role
The Norton Motorcycle Co. Ltd are looking for an experienced Quality/NDT and DT Inspector to join us. This role will be supporting the manufacturing department. Expect to be supporting the fabrication team with NDT & DT and visual inspection of our frames and frame components built here onsite at Norton HQ.
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Working within the Norton Fabrication workshop;
Visual inspection of polished components to Norton standards
Norton fabricated assembly inspection using total acceptance gauges
Producing part inspection reports
Use cutting equipment to produce DT weld samples (training provided)
Weld analysis reporting
Raising external and internal non-conformance reports
Signing off parts for use in production
Personal Specification
Knowledge of digital microscopy and measurement software (refreshment training can be provided)
Able to use total acceptance gauges to confirm product quality
Visual weld inspection
Dye penetrant testing
Good understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards
Good understanding of destructive and non-destructive weld testing
Experienced in aluminium welding processes
Desired
Automotive vehicle inspection
Comfortable using metal cutting equipment such as bandsaw, angle grinder (training can be provided)
Competent in using MS office, Excel and SharePoint
