The role
Assist the Head of Finance to aid managerial planning and commercial decision-making tasks by providing appropriate financial information. Preparation of overall annual financial budget and breaking it down into departmental spend and managing the same.
The Management Accountant is responsible for delivering monthly profitability statement by comparing the same with financial books and with reference to approved budgets.
Assist with development and offer support to a small team of finance administrators.
Duties/Responsibilities
Preparing overall budget for the company, department wise budgets, monitoring and providing feedback to the departments
Producing monthly management accounts by comparing with financial books
Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues in different departments for various financial evaluation
Provide relevant and necessary data for commercial decision making, make or buy scenarios
Assisting with supervising a small team of finance administrators, including monitoring their performance and overseeing their development
Developing and managing financial metrics / ratio analysis,
Support in establishing Internal audit systems and processes for ensuring effective internal control
Material accounting and Stock control.
Personal Specification
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience
Good oral and written communication skills
Confidence in liaising with Senior Management Team
Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
Accuracy and an eye for detail
Experience in automotive industry preferred.
(Desirable)
Experience in Sage 200 and SAP
