The role

The successful candidate will join an experienced team of welders who specialise in aluminium TIG and mild steel TIG and MIG welding. They will be capable of following clear instruction to produce aesthetically but also structurally sound welds on a variety of joint types and material thicknesses.



  • Be capable of TIG welding aluminium to a very high standard

  • Be capable of following clear instructions to tight deadlines

  • Understand engineering drawings and all weld symbols

  • Be capable of setting and understanding the welding parameters used to weld aluminium from 1.5mm to 10mm

  • Be able to control the welding process via a foot pedal

  • Fabrication of bespoke and prototype parts using technical drawings

  • Follow all health and safety guidelines

  • Competent use of workshop equipment including but not limited to; Angle grinders, Lathe, Bandsaws and pillar drills

  • Keen eye for detail and have pride in their work

Personal Specification

  • Time served aluminium TIG welder with a minimum of 3 years’ experience

  • Experienced in producing high quality parts to a high tolerance

  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn

  • Experienced in using engineering drawings

  • The ability to adapt to a changing workload


  • Mild steel, stainless steel and titanium welding experience desirable

  • Previous coding’s desirable but not needed
