To mark the first delivery of the all new Norton Commando in Canada, Norton Canada organised a black tie event which was very kindly hosted by the British Consul General Jonathan Dart at his official residence in Toronto. Also in attendance was the Hon. Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transportation for the Canadian Government.
Stuart Garner, Norton Motorcycles CEO attended along with Joe Adams the International Dealer Manager for Norton Motorcycles and joined Peter Howes Norton Canada President and Jim Brown who organised the event and joined the many Norton enthusiasts on the evening.

Following Norton’s purchase earlier this year of Donington Hall and Hastings House, the Norton Motorcycle factory has now fully moved from it’s old Donington park race circuit premises to the 45,000 sq ft Hastings House facility. With increased space and an open floor plan, Norton have been able to improve the dynamic of many of it’s operations including parts flow through the building, supply chain management, quality control, sub assembly, engine build and PDI which have all had substantial benefits with the new premises and floor layout. As part of ongoing service training and dealer feedback our German dealer network visited the factory this week. Tommy Wagner Head of Norton Germany brought the German dealer network together for the week long factory trip. It’s been a great way for dealers and the factory to build a strong relationship which focused on ensuring Norton give the very best service to our owners/riders.. Dealers have worked alongside factory technicians to see bikes being hand built, covering all technical issues to ensure our dealer network are fully trained in the 961 Commando platform. Following the successful launch at the British Embassy in Tokyo earlier this year Norton can announce today the first 961 Commando shipment to Japan. After an absence of some 30 years Norton are back in Japan partnering PCI Limited with a multi year exclusive distribution agreement.
With many dealers already in place and a strong distribution partner, Norton are set to establish a strong presence in this exciting market.
