After the race team had a hectic time at the TT races, the factory kept busy throughout. The whole team were flat out hand building 961 Commando bikes. Pictured is a real eye catcher, a stunning 961 Cafe Racer in Yellow with hand polished engine cases and you can just make out the Carbon fibre Rear Hugger.

Norton return from a successful 2013 TT, factory riders Ian Mackman and Dan Hegarty did a great job under wet and difficult conditions in first practice week. In the first Superbike race aboard the all new Norton SG2 ‘Mackers’ had an amazing race and came home with 18th place securing a bronze replica trophy. ‘Hegatron’ had to pull in after 4 laps with a locked caliper due to stones, very disappointing after a strong race. With more testing required on the engine side we went into the Senior race with standard road spec engines. Both riders did us proud and after some 240 miles of race distance both bikes finished having set lap times in the 122mph bracket, a truly … Read More

Recently our International Head of Sales, Joe Adams spent time travelling throughout Europe visiting the Norton dealers. Joe spent time at Norton Italia with Davide Rebeccani and Guiseppina Meazza who run and own Norton Italia. Joe delivered a brand new 961 Commando Sport Dual Seat model and Davide was able to take the bike out the following day for a 250 mile ride into the Italian mountains. He couldn’t believe how well the bike handled whether by himself or two up with Guiseppina. The new Commando created a real stir wherever he stopped, his fellow Italian bikers all wanted to know more.. … Read More

Thierry Stapts the owner of Paradise Motorcycles and boss of Norton France [details on dealer section of our website] put the bike together to show how you can make the 961 SF exclusively yours by special paint and other one off finishing touches.

The British Embassy in Tokyo kindly hosted the Norton Motorcycles launch party, taking Norton back into the Japanese market after some 30 years.. The first Commando 961 bikes were there and received great attention from the discerning Japanese dealer network that Norton Japan has worked hard to put in place over the last 18 months. The bikes received great accolades from the dealers who also spent time with Stuart Garner, CEO of Norton Motorcycles and Joe Adams head of International Sales. Stuart and Joe flew over for the launch at the British Embassy particularly to meet the dealers, thanking them as well as the staff of Norton Japan for their hard work and ongoing support for Norton.
