Norton Motorcycles (UK) Ltd is looking to recruit a Quality/Homologation Engineer and a Welder/Fabricator – two pivotal roles to compliment our team at Donington Park.
Both roles will give an excellent opportunity for the right candidates to join a small close knit team of industry professionals in a fast moving and dynamic environment, working with one of the most passionate and exciting names in the motorcycling industry here at Donington Park.
Norton have a requirement for a qualified ACCA/CIMA company Accountant. This is a pivotal role within the company, working very closely with the CEO to produce accurate and comprehensive information. Solid experience in SAGE is essential along with working in a manufacturing environment whilst working to tight deadlines.

To be given the chance to work with the iconic brand Norton was an opportunity I just couldn’t turn down.Here at Norton I am a engine build technician responsible for making sure the engines are assembled to the highest possible standard every time. A typical working day for myself would be hand assembling the Commando 961 engines. I also ensure my workstation is always clean and tidy and from time to time I get the chance to drop into the development side of the business.
Working for Norton I get some good opportunities including meeting important and sometimes famous people but building my first engine and starting it for the first time, seeing it run perfectly, has to be my highlight working at Norton. I have my ambitions working here and that is to be the best at what I do. I help by sharing my skills with other employees whether they’re new or not and I do this to help Norton grow. I like all of the Norton motorcycles but I have a real soft spot for the Norton NRV588. I wish I owned one as they will never be a motorcycle quite like it again – this is my favourite Norton motorcycle. |
Away from Norton, I have a 1978 Triumph Spitfire. I bought this 7 years ago and have since restored it. I like to take it out during the summer months and I also take it to many car shows. I enjoy restoring bikes and I would like to restore a classic motorcycle in the future – who knows, maybe even a Norton!I enjoy pretty much all motorsport, mainly F1. Jenson Button has to be my favourite sportsman.
Before I worked at Norton, I have always been a mechanic, all related to engine build or repair but the best job I ever had was a team mechanic for a truck racing team. From the very first meeting at Donington Park moving up to the highest level winning the British Championship and touring across Europe. We competed with the very best, noticeably Steve Parrish and Barry Sheene. We all became very good friends during the 10 years I spent doing this. I was awarded Mechanic of the Year, voted by all teams, and was awarded this personally by Steve Parrish which is my best achivement to date. |
