In-house Manufacturing

Banjo Bolts

Over the last few months Norton has invested heavily in its in-house manufacturing capability. Part of this increased investment has been a Hardinge GS150 CNC Lathe. To ensure best quality components and consistent delivery of component we make as many parts as possible in-house. One of these such parts is the oil banjo bolt connecting external oil line to oil pump. Even though it is a small component our attention to detail here at Norton is such that we have decided to make this part in-house helping us along the way to British made best quality components.

Norton Brings All Chassis Fabrication In House

Following further investment we are now pleased to announce all Norton Commando 961 chassis and their components will be fully manufactured and fabricated in house within our Fabrication Workshop.

Bringing extra manufacturing and fabrication resource in house gives us much greater control of quality and visibility of supply. Some of the delays we have experienced from a few of our now redundant suppliers were totally unacceptable to us and of course our customers. We have now made the investment in equipment and more importantly skilled workforce to enable us to produce many more components in house.

The lead time and planning for this addition to our manufacturing facility has taken many months and only now are we able to announce the exciting changes here at the Norton factory based within the famous Donington Park racing circuit.
