Norton Motorcycles UK announces the change of its Australian distributor from NF Importers Pty Ltd to Queensland based, Brisbane Motorcycles.
NF Importers and Norton Motorcycles entered the Australian and New Zealand market with the 961 Commando range in late 2015 and have subsequently sold and delivered over 100 new Commandos to Australasian customers.
“We are very pleased to have brought the Norton brand back to the Australian and New Zealand markets.” said Warren Lee, CEO – NF Importers. “After gaining the ADR approvals and appointing a small boutique dealer network, the first deliveries commenced in early 2016 to customers across both Australia and New Zealand. With the foundation stones now laid for the brand here in our market, we wish Norton, Brisbane Motorcycles and all customers the best for the future.”
The next phase for Norton in Australia is the continued sales of the Commando models and the soon to be produced V4. Also effective with the change are all aspect of customer service including warranty, with Brisbane Motorcycles and Norton now managing any service and warranty needs for all existing Commando 961 customers.
James Mutton of Brisbane Motorcycles said “After visiting the Norton factory and witnessing first-hand the amount of passion and care that goes into building a Norton motorcycle it was an easy decision to become involved and commit to distributing the Norton brand throughout Australia and New Zealand. Norton’s core values align identically to our own and we are confident that the boutique hand crafted motorcycles that Norton produce will be highly sought after in our local markets. Delivering a high-end boutique experience for motorcycle owners is something I am passionate about and something I look forward to delivering to all Norton customers in the future. As with all new ventures there will be a transition period that will need working through and require some patience to ensure we deliver our vision of making Norton the most prestigious motorcycle brand in Australia and New Zealand. “
