Works Norton team – Silverstone Race Report

It may have been six wins in the first six races for the Works-Norton Team in the Bonhams British Historic GP Championship, but Silverstone’s long straights provided a new challenge this weekend.

The sun shone down on some on some spectacular racing. The team’s rider Glen English was in the thick of it throughout, dicing sometime four abreast, providing the spectators with some awesome action over the course of the weekend.

Four solid point scoring rides, including a second place, leaves Glen maintaining a healthy lead in the points table. The team also learnt a great deal about optimising the set up at longer circuits.

It’s back to the twisty Cadwell Park circuit in two weeks time, where the tremendous mid range punch of the Works engine should again come into its own. The team are looking forward to a return to dominance.
