Norton are back! – returning to the Carole Nash International Motorcycle & Scooter Show in Birmingham at the N.E.C., the city in which Norton was founded back in 1898.

The Norton stand, located in Hall 1, will showcase the new Norton Commando 961, and the cafe racer styled Commando.
The world exclusive launch of these bikes moves Norton into a new era of motorcycle production, once again putting this iconic brand back into the global motorcycle industry.

Also on the stand, the Norton NRV588 Race bike, as ridden by Michael Dunlop at this years Isle of Man TT will be on display. Our CEO, Stuart Garner has recently set a world speed record on the Norton rotary NRV at the Bonneville Salt Flats in the USA, logging over 180mph!

Visitors will also be given the chance to see the new range of designer clothing as well as the Norton Arai RX7-GP Helmet, Wolf Leathers, Bremont Watch and other Norton merchandise.

Last month we let you know that we had raised £300.00 for our nominated charity, the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.

Today our team went down to the Air Ambulance head quarters to hand over the cheque.

“Peter Williams has joined with Norton Motorcycles to help with the detail design of the new 961 Commando after market and performance parts. Peter will also play an integral part in several future projects the company has planned.

Peter says, “Norton is the most magical name in motorcycles bar none. It was central to my racing career and I am delighted with Stuart Garner’s determination to make Norton live again. I will do everything I can to help him to return Norton to its Glory days.”

Stuart says, “For Norton to be able to have such experience within the team is great news, Peters engineering and motorcycling knowledge is vast, he also has the unique ability to transfer this knowledge into todays modern systems of production, machine tools and CAD, this coupled with his passion and history at Norton makes Peter a perfect fit within the Norton factory and we look forward to him driving our projects forward”
