Logistics Coordinator

Norton Motorcycles are looking for a Logistics Co-Ordinator to join our Stores department based at Donington Hall. The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging both domestic transport using Internal and external sources and International Import & Export during a stage of growth and expansion in our supply chain.

We are looking for an experienced Logistic Co-ordinator with a proven track record of working with International Logistics and all relevant documentation associated to the Import & Export of goods. You will be an enthusiastic and capable individual who is looking to be part of growing business.

 

The successful applicant should have at least 3 years logistics experience. Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge of EU & Non-EU import/export processes, documentation and dealing with Import Agents
  • Customs entry experience.
  • Confident producing / dealing with shipping documentation
  • Experience in the movement of goods by road, sea and air
  • Experience in a similar export/import role, preferably within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Well-developed understanding of HMRC rules
  • Able to work as part of a small team, preferably supported by proven experience
  • Excellent customer service skills combined with an ability to liaise with a variety of external parties such as Chamber of Commerce, Banks, Customers etc
  • Able to demonstrate experience of process analysis and improvement
  • Well organised and strong administrative skills
  • High attention to detail is essential

 

The right candidate will be highly organised, conscientious, be able to plan and prioritise work and possess excellent communication skills.

 

Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for arranging the day to day collections and deliveries
  • Responsible for working with all Freight Forwarders and Shipping Companies to produce all documentation and Labels for the shipping of goods to Customers, Suppliers and within the Dealer network
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Goods arrive at their destinations on time whether to Norton Headquarters or to external locations
  • Responsible for arranging the most cost-effective method for collections and deliveries
  • Responsible for managing relationships and contracts with both shipping companies and Freight Forwarders.

 

Job Type: Full-time

 

Salary package is dependent upon previous experience.
