Accounts Assistant Job

Summary

Accounts assistant required to be part of a team of four in a rapidly growing business. You will work alongside another accounts assistant underneath the assistant accountant who reports into the Financial Controller.

General accounts all-rounder is preferred as job role is varied with exposure to sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash book and payroll.

Prior accounts experience essential (however payroll experience is not as training can be given on the job).

Recently had Sage 200 implemented so Sage 200 experience is preferable but not a pre-requisite.

 

Role Description:

 

Sales Ledger

  • Raising sales orders & sales invoices
  • Credit control
  • Issuing monthly dealer statements
  • Raising Warranty credit notes
  • Investigating any disputes/ Ledger maintenance

Purchase Ledger

  • Posting of supplier invoices
  • Matching PO's, Delivery notes to Invoices
  • Maintaining supplier master data
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Investigating any disputes/ Ledger maintenance

Other

  • Reconciliation of credit card, Sage Pay, and Paypal transactions
  • Assist with National Statistic/EC/Intrastat returns/other HMRC returns

Job Information

Hours are 8.30 – 5.30 Monday to Friday.
(Leave earlier on days when post is required to be taken to the post office).

IT Support / Web Design Technician

Norton Motorcycles is a rapidly expanding dynamic business that is looking for an experience IT / Web Design Technician based at Donington Hall.

Senior Calibration and Development Engineer

The role of Senior Calibration and Development Engineer at Norton is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a small close knit team of industry professionals in a fast moving and dynamic environment, working with one of the most passionate and exciting names in the motorcycling industry here at Donington Hall.

The role would include overseeing the continued improvement of a range of exciting Norton projects, including road and race motorcycles for driveability and durability. This would also include development of chassis electronic functions such as traction control, launch control and anti-wheelie strategies. Production vehicle calibration and emission control experience would be advantageous but not essential.

 

Experience (essential):

 

  • Relevant experience of a high end engine management control system such as GEMS, Cosworth, Magnetti Marelli or Motec.
  • A good understanding of powertrain systems
  • A good understand of motorcycles
  • Minimum of a basic knowledge of chassis control strategies
  • Good communication skills at all levels

 

Responsibilities and deliverables:

 

  • Calibrate vehicle emission behaviour to meet program target emission standard whist satisfying other vehicle attribute targets such as combustion noise, driveability and performance
  • Delivery of aftermarket and performance tuned products across the range
  • Assist in powertrain development, problem solving and resolution
  • Delivery of chassis control systems such as traction control, anti-wheelie and launch control
  • Assist in electrical specification of the motorcycle
  • Provide testing support where necessary, overseas or trackside
  • Integrate drivability and performance targets alongside emissions
  • Provide support throughout the homologation and certification process

Quality Inspector

As a result, we are looking for a Quality Inspector, to oversee all inspection processes, surrounding Parts and Products, and to ensure both External and Internal Processes are rigorously adhered to.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Review, improve and undertake all essential inspection activity , including Goods In, Production and End of Line Final Inspection.
  • Define Inspection Frequency for all Parts Based on High, Low and Medium risk classification
  • Use of relevant measurement tools and instruments to ensure every part can be measured correctly
  • Maintain and Improve work instructions, including product / customer specific documents
  • Ensure any Work in Progress rejects are handled in a timely and effective manner and all wastage processes are adhered to
  • Carry out internal audits and surveillance and spot checks as required
  • Review & Validate in-process inspection, including some manual inspection
  • Maintain inspection facilities and equipment to a high standard, including calibration control

 

Key requirements:

 

  • Good understanding of Mechanical Engineering
  • Good knowledge of Welding, Assembly and Paint processes and Final Inspection of Electro Mechanical Products
  • Experience of working closely with suppliers and ensuring Problems are identified, rectified and followed through to completion

Norton Motorcycles is looking to add a Buyer to its Buying team based at our new headquarters at Donington Hall. Working with the existing team of buyers this individual will form part of driving the purchasing function of this UK based global brand to ensure a robust and committed supply chain. We believe that management and development of external suppliers is paramount.

We are looking for an experienced Buyer with a track record of delivery within manufacturing/engineering/automotive industries. You must be able to demonstrate a track record of cost reduction through both direct negotiation and working strategically with suppliers to find mutually beneficial cost-downs. You will be an enthusiastic and capable individual whose internal relationships will be as important as those with your suppliers.

Norton Motorcycles (UK) have a vacancy for an International Dealer Manager based at their headquarters at Donington Hall in Castle Donington. 

Managing the global dealer network the role will be the direct line of contact to the dealer and distributor network.  Comprehensive responsibilities will include planning of dealer network - dealer management process to include all aspects of the application, appointment or replacement of new and existing dealers.   Building a global dealer network is essential to explore new market opportunities.  In addition Dealer Agreement amendments and renewals along with warranty procedure and build planning.

Motorcycle Technician

KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Test and diagnose vehicle faults, interpreting repair order instructions and technical information.

• Plan necessary work and order parts to ensure vehicles are ready as promptly as possible.

• Carry out all servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards and with effective use of time and resources.

• Discuss any work requiring specialist skills with the workshop supervisor/controller.

• Accurately report vehicle faults and work carried out for ease of reference by service reception.

• Observe relevant health and safety procedures, including the use of protective clothing and equipment.

• Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition.

• Maintain correct warranty procedures and clocking details in line with defined company procedures.

• Train apprentices when required and supervise ensuring work is checked before being released.

• Return exchanged parts to the parts department.

• Maintain quality standards of dress, attitude, customer care, honesty and health and safety in order to portray a professional image to customers at all times.

• Follow personnel policies and procedures, including holiday periods, disciplinary codes, etc.
