Purchaser

Norton Motorcycles is looking to add a Purchaser to its’ Buying team based at our new headquarters at Donington Hall. Working with the existing team of buyers this individual will form part of driving the purchasing function of this UK based global brand to ensure a robust and committed supply chain. We believe that management and development of external suppliers is paramount.

We are looking for an experienced Purchaser with a track record of delivery within manufacturing/engineering/automotive industries. You must be able to demonstrate a track record of cost reduction through both direct negotiation and working strategically with suppliers to find mutually beneficial cost-downs. You will be an enthusiastic and capable individual whose internal relationships will be as important as those with your suppliers.

Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred and you will need to demonstrate the ability to manage the operational raw material requirements of a manufacturing business.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:-

  • Ensure there are always sufficient components in stock to satisfy the demands of production
  • Optimise stock levels
  • Develop the practice of expediting purchase orders to ensure delivery promises are achieved
  • Coordinate with all other departments for smooth functioning and prioritising of purchasing departmental activity
  • Participate in the development of purchasing specifications for material, components or products
  • Monitor the financial relationship with key suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s quality and environmental standards.

Assembling production frames, swingarms  and fuel tanks  for our British hand-built High Quality Motorcycles.

Some hand fabrication required, all skill levels required.

PA to CEO & Owner

This is a good opportunity to join a successful company with fantastic job security and future opportunities

We are looking for an experienced PA with a confident, pro-active attitude who will adopt the same passion as the current employees do within the organization

As the personal assistant you will be responsible for providing full administrative support to the CEO. This person will play a pivotal role in ensuring all engagements run seamlessly.

Your duties will include diary management and travel arrangements as well as other admin support duties such as, organising  meetings, setting up and preparing documentation for meetings and other adhoc responsibilities.

Production Staff

Skilled production staff are required with a positive and focused attitude who can take ownership and responsibility for their role, whilst seeing the build process through to completion.

The job will be to assemble our world class motorcycles where you will perform service and maintenance procedures and run computer aided diagnostics. A determined and accurate approach is needed along with the ability to work on your own initiative and part of a team.

Essential knowledge in automotive engineering/manufacturing is required along with experience working with motorcycles.

It is essential that candidates hold a full motorcycle licence.
