Purchaser

Norton Motorcycles is looking to add a Purchaser to its’ Buying team based at our new headquarters at Donington Hall. Working with the existing team of buyers this individual will form part of driving the purchasing function of this UK based global brand to ensure a robust and committed supply chain. We believe that management and development of external suppliers is paramount.

We are looking for an experienced Purchaser with a track record of delivery within manufacturing/engineering/automotive industries. You must be able to demonstrate a track record of cost reduction through both direct negotiation and working strategically with suppliers to find mutually beneficial cost-downs. You will be an enthusiastic and capable individual whose internal relationships will be as important as those with your suppliers.

Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred and you will need to demonstrate the ability to manage the operational raw material requirements of a manufacturing business.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:-

  • Ensure there are always sufficient components in stock to satisfy the demands of production
  • Optimise stock levels
  • Develop the practice of expediting purchase orders to ensure delivery promises are achieved
  • Coordinate with all other departments for smooth functioning and prioritising of purchasing departmental activity
  • Participate in the development of purchasing specifications for material, components or products
  • Monitor the financial relationship with key suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s quality and environmental standards.

Senior Design Engineer

The role of Senior Design Engineer at Norton is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a small close knit team of industry professionals in a fast moving and dynamic environment, working with one of the most passionate and exciting names in the motorcycling industry here at Donington Hall.

The role will consist of product design and validation from concept through to production and production support, including scheming and detailed component engineering using the latest 3D CAD software (Pro E), homologation and vehicle testing.

As a senior member of the design team the candidate will have engineering responsibility for derivative models and follow these into production, as well as significant areas on new projects. As Senior Design Engineer you will also assist with the day to day running of the design team.

Norton invites applicants from all engineering backgrounds, however, a practical experience of motorcycle fundamentals is essential as is a working knowledge of high end 3D CAD systems. We are looking for a team player with excellent work ethic criteria.

Design Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a small close knit team of industry professionals in a fast moving and dynamic environment. You must be a team player and posses an excellent work ethic.

Working with one of the most exciting brands in the motorcycling industry today, your role will be to provide product design and validation and see concepts through from production and production support, including scheming and detailed component engineering, using the latest technology. There is a requirement to work on the homologation and vehicle testing procedures.

Previous experience in engineering with practical experience in an automotive environment is required along with 3D CAD Software, Pro E.

Production Staff

Skilled production staff are required with a positive and focused attitude who can take ownership and responsibility for their role, whilst seeing the build process through to completion.

The job will be to assemble our world class motorcycles where you will perform service and maintenance procedures and run computer aided diagnostics. A determined and accurate approach is needed along with the ability to work on your own initiative and part of a team.

Essential knowledge in automotive engineering/manufacturing is required along with experience working with motorcycles.

It is essential that candidates hold a full motorcycle licence.

Accountant/Financial

Accountant/Financial Controller required at our headquarters at Donington Hall.

Working in a busy fast paced environment, you will be responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting directly to the CEO including payroll, cashflow forecasts, management accounts, VAT Returns and monthly P&L and any other ad-hoc duties as required.  You will also be required to manage the year end process.

A good working knowledge of SAGE is required, as is an ACCA/ACA qualification.
