Marketing Executive

Norton Motorcycles are looking to recruit an exceptional Marketing Executive to expand and develop the Company’s marketing strategy.

 

Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Assisting and supporting the Global Sales Manager with updating promotional material for the Company’s website
  • Managing the online shop sales via Magento
  • Upload material to social media pages and any other marketing platforms as required
  • To plan, create and deliver marketing collateral
  • Assist with organising and attend sales events and other corporate events
  • Contribute to the marketing, communications and digital activities
  • Assist with any other general duties within the business

Quality Control Inspector

Norton Motorcycles, one of the worlds must iconic Motorcycle brands is expanding its production capabilities, at its Manufacturing Facility in Castle Donington. Our Business is expected to grow significantly over the next 10 years as demand for our existing Quality Motorcycle range increases and our new V4 Superbike is introduced into the market.

 

We are looking for talented people to join our team, embrace the passion and commitment of our workforce, and help us provide Quality Products, for our Hand Built motorcycles.

 

As a result, we are looking for a Quality Control Inspector, to oversee all inspection processes, surrounding Parts and Products, and to ensure both External and Internal Processes are rigorously adhered to.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Review, improve and undertake all essential inspection activity, including Goods In, Production and End of Line Final Inspection.
  • Define Inspection Frequency for all Parts Based on High, Low and Medium risk classification
  • Use of relevant measurement tools and instruments to ensure every part can be measured correctly
  • Maintain and Improve work instructions, including product/customer specific documents.
  • Ensure any Work in Progress rejects are handled in a timely and effective manner and all wastage processes are adhered to.
  • Ensure All Stock transactions for Reject or None Conforming Parts/Products are undertaken religiously.
  • Carry out internal audits and surveillance and spot checks as required.
  • Review & Validate in-process inspection, including some manual inspection.
  • Maintain inspection facilities and equipment to a high standard, including calibration control.

 

Key requirements:

  • Good understanding of Mechanical Engineering.
  • Good knowledge of Welding, Assembly and Paint processes and Final Inspection of Electro-Mechanical Products.
  • Experience of working closely with suppliers and ensuring Problems are identified, rectified and followed through to completion.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within an Automotive or Manufacturing background.
  • Inspection Knowledge.
  • Familiar with modern Quality processes (Corrective Action, Root Cause analysis, etc).
  • Good Communication skills and able to contribute to transforming the Business Quality performance.

Motorcycle Race Technician

The right candidate should have exceptional diagnostic ability along with race preparation experience, to join our Race team.

Senior Design Engineer

The role of Senior Design Engineer at Norton is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a small close knit team of industry professionals in a fast moving and dynamic environment, working with one of the most passionate and exciting names in the motorcycling industry here at Donington Hall.

The role will consist of product design and validation from concept through to production and production support, including scheming and detailed component engineering using the latest 3D CAD software (Pro E), homologation and vehicle testing.

As a senior member of the design team, the candidate will have engineering responsibility for derivative models and following these into production, as well as significant areas on new projects. Taking accountability for projects from concept through to production and have a commercial awareness.  A senior design engineer will also assist with the day to day running of the design office.

Experience essential:

  • Minimum of 3 years Pro Engineer / CREO experience
  • Knowledge of surfacing functionality to create complex parts
  • Experience with Design for Manufacture (DFM)
  • Experience with Design for Assemble (DFA)
  • Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques
  • Experience with aluminium’s castings, forgings, mouldings,  rubbers and steels
  • Experience with People and Project Management

Buyer

Norton Motorcycles is looking to add a Buyer to its Buying team based at our new headquarters at Donington Hall. Working with the existing team of buyers this individual will form part of driving the purchasing function of this UK based global brand to ensure a robust and committed supply chain. We believe that management and development of external suppliers is paramount.

We are looking for an experienced Buyer with a track record of delivery within manufacturing/engineering/automotive industries. You must be able to demonstrate a track record of cost reduction through both direct negotiation and working strategically with suppliers to find mutually beneficial cost-downs. You will be an enthusiastic and capable individual whose internal relationships will be as important as those with your suppliers.

Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred and you will need to demonstrate the ability to manage the operational raw material requirements of a manufacturing business.

Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:-

  • Ensure there are always sufficient components in stock to satisfy the demands of production
  • Optimise stock levels
  • Develop the practice of expediting purchase orders to ensure delivery promises are achieved

Purchasing Parts Expediter – Administrator

Norton Motorcycles is a rapidly expanding dynamic business that is looking for a General Administration Assistant to support the busy purchasing department based at Donington Hall.

The successful applicant should be highly organised, conscientious, be able to plan and prioritise their work and possess excellent communication skills.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Purchasing Team with supplier orders
  • Record purchase orders to delivery dates
  • Checking orders are to be received on schedule

Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager will be overseeing all current production and delivery of new projects including the well publicised range of bikes under development thanks to significant funding from central Government. This range of high end motorcycles will ensure Norton’s longevity as the UK’s most exciting motorcycle manufacturer.

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager with a track record of delivery within manufacturing / engineering / automotive industries. You will be an enthusiastic and capable individual whose internal relationships will be as important as those with your suppliers.

 

Challenges:

  • Norton is a niche, premium vehicle manufacturer with a strong brand value and where quality is paramount.
  • Understanding the process of buying raw material and components, through in house manufacture, assembly and point of sale through a global dealer network. All controlled under one roof.

Skills:

  • Degree/CIPS qualified would be advantageous but not essential

Engine Builder and Engine Sub Assembly

Must have good knowledge of 4 stroke engines and be practically minded along with being able to understand instructions, working from drawings and assembly manuals. Have an understanding of measuring equipment such as verniers and bore micrometers.

Paint Sprayer

  • Air Brushing
  • Chroming
  • Quality Checking

We are seeking an experienced Paint sprayer who is happy to join us at a challenging time with a view to helping us improve all our processes and assist with increasing demand for our products.

Motorcycle Service Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Test and diagnose vehicle faults, interpreting repair order instructions and technical information.

• Plan necessary work and order parts to ensure vehicles are ready as promptly as possible.

• Carry out all servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards and with effective use of time and resources.

• Discuss any work requiring specialist skills with the workshop supervisor/controller.

• Accurately report vehicle faults and work carried out for ease of reference by service reception.

• Observe relevant health and safety procedures, including the use of protective clothing and equipment.

• Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition.

• Maintain correct warranty procedures and clocking details in line with defined company procedures.

• Train apprentices when required and supervise ensuring work is checked before being released.

• Return exchanged parts to the parts department.

• Maintain quality standards of dress, attitude, customer care, honesty and health and safety in order to portray a professional image to customers at all times.

• Follow personnel policies and procedures, including holiday periods, disciplinary codes, etc.
